World Gratitude Day
Good morning, Marilyn. I love your topic this week: taking the time to remember what we are grateful for.
Personally, I have a ton of thankfulness for my healthy, happy personal relationships that bring me such fulfillment and joy. My daughters, my family and in-laws, and most of all my partner all add “the seasoning to the sauce of life” that is sometimes sweet, sometimes salty, and occasionally spicy. Lol
Professionally, too, I have so much gratitude for my work as a Realtor™. This is my third career, after having been a stay at home parent raising four children, and an elementary school teacher. I knew transitioning to real estate in my 50s wasn’t going to be easy, but I am kind of grateful that I didn’t know just how hard it would be at first.
Everything turned around for me when I joined a brokerage where the owner helped me to find my professional calling in helping seniors to downsize. That clarity brought power, and the hard work started to pay off. I helped more people, and made a difference in more lives. Over time I was able to refine my tools and build my skills, which in turn allowed me to deliver five-star real estate experiences. I make a tangible difference in the lives of my clients, and that is the ultimate job satisfaction for which I am grateful.
Our real estate brokerage’s mission statement is to build:

- Experiences worth giving
- Legacies worth leaving
For me, these are more than words on a plaque somewhere, these are also the guiding principles by which I run my business, especially the last three points.
