Sharon Parenteau's presentation on "Downsizing: Alternatives to Condos" was an informative and entertaining session which started with figuring out why we are moving, the benefits, and the challenges, considering our age and stage of life. Types of properties were compared with the monetary benefits you might reap, based on the type of new home you select. A review of property options available; a comparison of sell & lease or rent, with sell & buy for each; as well as the pros and cons of each, helped confirm what we thought we wanted and set us on a path forward!
